On March 23, 2013, Amendment 139 was brought to vote in the Senate. The purpose of the Amendment said, “To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.”  This is right from the official website of the U.S. Senate. Syrian Army Confiscates Israeli-made Missiles

The Syrian army says it has confiscated a number of Israeli-made missiles, which were in the possession of foreign-backed militants. A military source told the Syrian news agency SANA that the seizure was made in the countryside of the southwestern city of Dara’a on Thursday. It says Syrian troops seized a militant vehicle loaded with large weapons and ammunition, including at least four Israeli-made missiles. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Approves Syria Resolution

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a resolution on Wednesday authorizing limited U.S. military intervention in Syria, setting the stage for a debate in the full Senate next week on the use of force.
